USAID Mission Director Celebrates 15th Anniversary with TLP-SP Finalists

On May 28, USAID marked the 15th anniversary of Partnering for Positive Change in Kosovo. As part of the festivities, USAID Mission Director Maureen A. Shauket, held a gathering at Bukka Bar to announce the 50 Kosovar scholarship finalists of the 2014 Transformational Leadership Program for masters level studies in the US. The finalists were chosen from a pool of nearly 300 applicants through a rigorous selection process.

At the event, the Mission Director congratulated the students on their achievement. She also reminded them about the privilege and responsibility they have to contribute to positive change and transformation in Kosovo upon their return from the US.

TLP-SP Acting Chief of Party, Ms. Elmaze Gashi, noted the great contribution the mission director has made in Kosovo, and particularly her integral role in developing the USAID TLP-SP Program.

The finalists will leave to begin their masters studies in the US in August 2014.
